Autumn brought more changes to the town centre, including welcoming new businesses. Just Tech at 87-101 Clyde Road specialises in computer and mobile repairs and sells accessories. PNP Farms’ Butchery purchased Browns Bay Butchery at 6 Inverness Road. Veggie Box, a fresh fruit and vegetables delivery service, moved into 751 Beach Road.
Naila Beauty and Cosmo Nails & Beauty at 57 Clyde Road and 32 Anzac Road respectively opened their doors recently after extensive fit outs. We will shortly welcome Sophia Beauty Lab at 14 Anzac Road. Browns Bay certainly has a comprehensive selection of hair, nails and beauty specialists.
We also welcome the re-opening of Neco Sushi. Owner Marie continues to convalesce while her co-workers run the business, including the very generous offer of sushi specials starting at $1; the family’s way of giving back for the outpouring of support. From friends and customers to neighbouring businesses and members of the public, hundreds of people pulled together in the face of adversity. Browns Bay businesses are incredibly proud to serve and support such an amazing and connected community.
Congratulations to the seven winners of our recent ‘Shop Local & Win’ campaign: Christine Coombridge, Theresa Gonsalves, Kirstin Floyd, Barbara Thomson, Alfred Raphael, Jayde Benali and Trish Ellis. Thanks to all those who shopped in participating Browns Bay businesses and entered the competition. We received feedback that there were technical glitches on the entry form. We appreciate being alerted to this, and we will ensure that the problems are rectified before the next promotion in August 2024.
