Thank you for taking the time to find out more about the Glamorgan School learning community. Our school is situated in the East Coast Bays on Auckland’s North Shore, catering for children from primary school years 1 to 6 from a diversity of nationalities from within our community.
Glamorgan School is a vibrant, lively and caring learning community where we celebrate learning and achieving together. We endeavour to maintain an atmosphere where parents and caregivers are welcome within the school and are encouraged to share in their child’s education.
Our students are supported to achieve personal success, and to develop the skills to be contributing members of their school and active participants in their own learning. The school’s mission statement is to be a learning community that is committed to providing relevant, meaningful and challenging learning opportunities, whilst celebrating diversity, individuality and citizenship. This is supported by the school’s vision and Steps to Success programme.
Our staff members are dedicated, we are proud of our positive links with the local community and we value a close partnership between the child, home and school. Glamorgan has a very active ‘Friends of the School’ group and we welcome all parents to attend meetings and participate in school functions.
The school has an Enrolment Scheme in place. Every child who lives within the school’s home zone has an automatic entitlement to attend. Out-of-zone places are occasionally available through a ballot system. Please enquire at the school office for further details.
