Paper Power started trading in April 1992 and was founded by four members with the vision of becoming a market force in the stationery and books retail industry. The driving motivation behind this pioneering inception was Robert Edward Mitchell. His vision was to utilize his wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry to create buying power for its group members and create a brand name in the market. At the core of the company’s existence, however, was the desire to serve the community. As such, the company lent itself to slogans like “Your local community booksellers and stationers” and “Small enough to care, big enough to compete”.
This culture remains one of the main the strengths of the group in serving its customers and has, consequently, lead to a growth in franchisee numbers. As the company name implies, Paper Power has become powerful force in the market and now has a total of 20 stores across the North Island, with a vision of further future expansion.
In order to meet the demands of the changing market, the company’s short term goal is to serve its customers in both the traditional way, as well as through the modern approach of internet-based services. As such, the company has positioned itself to provide its services across the entire New Zealand market. Our customer-oriented aim is to provide high quality products and services, a comfortable shopping environment for our patrons, and the best value for money on our products and services.
