Browns Bay holds several events and promotions each year to involve the community and attract visitors. The best known is the annual Browns Bay Christmas Parade and Carnival, attracting 10,000 visitors. After the excitement of the biggest parade north of the Bridge, you can enjoy live music and entertainment while the kids have fun with a variety of activities at the Carnival and have their photos taken with Santa.

This is one of the only community run markets in New Zealand. Stallholder site fees go towards local community projects, including the local coast guard unit. There is a range of goods for sale and stalls are constantly changing, from tools and antiques, designer clothes, books, second hand clothes, bags, handcrafts, art, hand made jewellery, a wide variety of fresh produce, home baking, flowers, plants, free range eggs and honey.
If are interested in holding a stall at this market, all you have to do is arrive on the day before 6-30am dependent on weather.
